Mini-Angels only use professional water based face paints which are fully compliant with EU and FDA toy and cosmetic regulations. These paints are non-toxic and hypoallergenic, they are specifically for use on the skin. Paint can easily be removed using mild soap and water. Some skin types are prone to some very mild initial staining – a small amount of mild baby shampoo or soap will remove this gently.

Water is changed regularly during a booking and all equipment is thoroughly cleaned after each booking.

Booking Times and Arrangements

If the face painter is unavailable to work due to illness or other unforeseen circumstance the deposit and any paid balance will be refunded in full if a replacement face painter cannot be arranged.

The face painter may be able to work longer but this is at their discretion. Please be aware the face painter may have additional bookings to go to.

Additional face painters can be arranged, please call or email to discuss your requirements.

The face painter can paint 12+ full faces an hour but please do not expect the them to stay longer to accommodate more children than originally stated.

The face painter will start working and leave at time stated. A setting up period and packing away period will be allowed for by the face painter.

The Client agrees to pay for any accidents, injuries, damage to artist’s equipment or supplies, caused by the client, client's guests and/or pets.

Cancellations

Party bookings are required to pay £20 booking fee to secure the booking (which if the party goes ahead is deducted from the full fee payable); however, if the party is cancelled the £20 is non-refundable.

(Other/Corporate) Cancelled engagements within 4 weeks prior to the engagement date will attract a fee of 50% of the total fee payable.  100% will be due if the face painter has arrived at the engagement destination without prior notice of cancellation.

Once correspondence has been received confirming a booking this will form the contract and this could be via social media, email or text message.

Parking

Please leave a space open as close to the site as possible, or in the driveway, so the face painter can unload heavy equipment & have access to their vehicle during the booking duration. Parking fees, if applicable, will be reflected in your price. Please inform Mini-Angels at the time of booking if this is the case. For permit located areas, please arrange for a car parking space for the face painter.

Requirements and Working Conditions

Please arrange for a suitable table and two chairs to be made available per face painter, and suitable protective cover should the face painter be working outside. If arrangements (protection) against the elements are not made appropriately then Mini-Angels reserves the right to cancel the booking arrangements and payment in full will still be due. Furniture/protection requirements will be discussed at the time of booking.

Please note if we are using our own gazebo then for safety reasons it will only be suitable in winds up to a maximum of 20mph.  If winds exceeed this, then please see the previous paragraph for terms of booking/cancellation/payment.

In the interest of safety, Mini-Angels will not paint faces of anyone under 2 years of age. The face paint manufacturers do not recommend paint for anyone below this age and very young children can sometimes be overwhelmed by the results, they also have very sensitive skin.

Mini-Angels will not paint anyone who is obviously unwell (runny nose/temperature/rash) or has any other visible skin complaint (eczema; chicken pox; acne; cold sore; open wounds; eye infections etc). This is to prevent infection and cross contamination.

Mini-Angels will not paint anyone against their wishes (this may result in stopping painting before the final result if a child becomes uncomfortable or changes their mind). Please do not force your child to be painted if they really are uneasy or unwilling – face painting should be an enjoyable experience for both the child and parent.

Children should be under constant adult supervision whilst being painted or waiting their turn.

If you believe the person to be painted has sensitive skin, a skin patch test can be carried out (left on for 15 minutes). It is the guardian’s responsibility to inform the face painter in advance if this is the case.

If you are making a booking for a children’s party, please ensure all parents are aware in advance that a face painter will be on site, especially when parents/guardians are unlikely to be present.  It is the host’s responsibility to ensure that all parents/guardians have been informed and that any comments are relayed back to the face painter.

Without prejudice Mini-Angels reserves the right not to paint any persons we feel should not be painted.

Mini-Angels has cover of £5 million public liability insurance and are DBS checked and approved.

Mini-Angels only attend events where sole concession is given for face painting. We aim to provide the best face painting experience wherever we are.
